The end of the quarter is here, and overall I am feeling pretty good about my progress. My goals going into the quarter were to have a near complete film and a decent draft of my paper, so that next quarter I can focus primarily on the construction of my artist's book. The film is probably in between 90-95% complete, meaning that I have touched everything in the film but there are some minor tweaks and polishes left to address (including getting the licensing for my music squared away). Every section, aside from the process for the creation of my visual, has been written so I am feeling good about the paper as well. I am going on a small trip for spring break, but I will have lots of down time during the days so I plan to get the draft to a good place and rough in my process section. If I am able to get a decent, polished draft done, I would like to send the paper off to an editor at the start of the spring quarter. I have built a dummy or mock-up of the box to try and get an idea of the structure. I am also going in the direction of wooden cogs/sprockets to turn the paper (of which will be enforced with some sort of vinyl/archival tape).
