During this week my goal was to work on the philosophy section of my paper by gathering information and quotes that are needed to back up my statements. I have also reached out to both Elliot McNally and Cynthia Lollis for guidance on the book and what steps to take next. I am meeting Elliot on January 15th look at scroll books in the artist book collection and discuss methods for binding my book. For the film my goal was to (by January 16th) have the beetle modeled, textured, and rigged. I have been struggling with the model itself. I have never been a quick modeler, and I am not a strong character/organic modeler. After talking with my professor, I am thinking of purchasing a model or outsourcing it to alleviate some headache. Regardless, I really would prefer that everything is done by my own hand so my nose has been to the grindstone to try and successfully model a beetle myself. As of today I have this box model of my beetle, and while it is not perfect I think it'll do. I have two days left to finish texturing and rigging so I am not too worried about falling behind due to my stubbornness.
