Captain Jetty is the king of the beach! With a shovel beak and bucket crown he longs to build sandcastle fortresses to hide away in. This stop motion puppet is a wire armature with a foam body and painted latex skins. Other found materials like blackwrap, yarn, and a frozen yogurt spoon (bonus points if you can find it) were used for finishing details.

Structure Progress
Wire armature with foam body structure in place. Black wrap is being used for the wings and will also be applied to the feet.
Final Pose Tests
Captain Jetty came to life! Went with a smaller shell to act more as a tail, critiques from peers steered me in this direction because they loved the texture of the latex so much that they didn't want it covered!
